INCLUSIVE DESIGN

We specialise in providing accessible designs for clients of various ages, disabilities, and access requirements. We will work with you to meet your changing needs in your own home or comply with the Disabled Discrimination Act Legislation to develop commercial premises.

We are involved in the design and construction of a number of projects each year in respect of those with disabilities. We aim to support the needs of our clients including the visually impaired, elderly, those with profound multiple learning difficulties and those with physical disabilities.

When disability strikes it impacts not only the person immediately affected but the whole family unit. From the moment an incident occurs, life changes irrevocably for everyone. Both life in the present and dreams for the future often must be set aside and replaced by a new set of priorities that centre around the care of the disabled person.

The challenge for the architect is to understand the physical and emotional needs of the client and the family unit, then to interpret those requirements into a bespoke solution.

Working directly with clients, local authorities, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, court of protection and case managers in respect of design, to develop specific solutions to meet individual needs.

Each client and each family have specific and individual requirements. Whilst, on occasions, underlying medical conditions might appear to be similar, needs vary and are often precise and exacting.
